Pennsylvanians Say Government Needs Reddin’ Up

February 28th, 2008 · 1 Comment

Reddin Up

Change? Clean Sweep? What does that mean? We need to red up.

While millions of Americans say they want change in the government, Pennsylvanians remain unmoved. They say the state and the country need reddin’ up.

“Things needs reddin’ up,” says Osceola-Mills resident John Paul Waschniksy. “From Harrisburg to Warshington. Yeah, we need a good reddin’ up.”

Waschinsky said lots of government agencies no longer work effectively and need reddin’ up. Social Security and the military seem to need more reddin’ up, according to most of the state’s residents. “If we don’t red up Social Security,” Waschinsky said. “Will there be any money left for my retirement?”

The tax code is in good need of reddin’ up, as well, Pennsylvanians point out. It seems the more residents make, the more the government reds up.

Most Pennsylvanians also think the government faces some serious foreign policy issues. Anne “Bocephus” Franchose, a perpertual Pennsylvania resident, agrees. “One thing we can do is to let them people overseas red up on their own,” Franchose said. “Why do we need to be the world’s redder-uppers?”
