Grinch Turns Attention to Gas Tax Holiday

July 21st, 2008 · 5 Comments

Nancy Pelosi is the Gas Tax Holiday Grinch

The Grinch nixes another holiday. What’s next? Roast beast tax?

Everyone down in Whoville liked tax holidays A LOT. But, the Grinch, who lived north of D.C., the Grinch he DID NOT!

The Grinch hated tax breaks. Don’t ask the reason. It took money from the quote-unquote ”poor”… and cut cash for his sleazing.

So the Grinch growled, his fingers nervously drumming. I must. I must keep this gas tax holiday from coming.

Then a thought dawned and turned into a smile. The grin the Grinch shows when he’s about to defile.

I’ll take this tax break and turn it inside out. I’ll increase their taxes and shake them about.

We’ll tax hybrids and low-riders, Harleys and trikes. We’ll tax midget clowns riding highwire bikes.

As the coins drop, I’ll call them contributions. That will please the press and avoid retribution.

I’ll say it’s for the earth. I’ll say it’s for jobs. I’ll list all 2-point-5 trillion reasons to rob.

Then, I’ll blame Bush, yeah, that’s the ticket. I’ll email MoveOn.org. Ask them to picket.

And when it’s all done. And when it’s all said. President Obama will sign the bill. And sign it in RED!

Just wanted to say HI. I found your blog a few days ago on Technorati and have been reading it over the past few days.

I am reminded of the Greek philosopher Heraclitus who said that time was like a river flowing endlessly through the universe and you couldn’t step into the same river twice. All the other philosophers thought this was very deep but his wife said something that applies equally well to this:
    Don’t be an ass!

    She is an ass alright!

All this talk about ass has made me hungry.

Very creative use of free verse and rhyme here…I have to agree with Banksy, it makes me slightly hungry too, but maybe that’s cause it’s food for thought….ooooh….boy.
