Gay rights activists say they're ready to slap the tiara off the Obama administration.

"We did it to Miss California," said Chaz Wellington, leader of the Gays Against Barack (GAB). "and we can do it to the President of the United States."

Wellington and other gay activists are upset at what they consider broken promises of the Obama administration, such as his stance on gay marriage, the don't ask, don't tell policy and the poor window treatment choices in the White House.

"Hmmm. Have you seen the pattern?" said Wellington. "So 1970s. Just 'cause you legislate like Carter, doesn't mean you have to decorate like him."

Members of the gay community weren't impressed with Obama's latest attempt to nuzzle up to them. Obama is allowing benefits for partners of gay federal employees.Gays say it's too little, too late.

"Sounds like my last date," said Wellington. "I know! Can you ever?"

Gay voters were among Obama's strongest supporters during his presidential campaign, next to members of Chicago's criminal syndicate and guys named "Joel."

The members of GAB are planning several demonstrations against Obama's reluctance to support gay rights. The times of the protests will vary, based on airings of "So You Think You Can Dance" and the Tony awards.

Obama administration official Glen Seabrook said the president has bent over backwards for the gay community. Obama, for instance, is trying to change the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy to the "Don't Ask, But Dress Fabulously" policy.

"We're one of the most gay-friendly administrations there's ever been," said Seabrook. "Our whole administration is guided by the Don't Do, Don't Do policy."
